Crane rental prices change with the lift, the site and how long you need the crane. Here is what decides the figure, and how to get an exact quote within one hour.
What decides the price
Two lifts that look the same can need very different cranes. These are the things that move the price.
- Crane capacity: a larger crane costs more per day. The right size depends on weight and radius, not weight alone.
- Duration: daily hire costs more per day than weekly or monthly hire.
- Fuel: some rates include fuel, others do not. Always compare like with like.
- Operator, rigger and supervisor: an operator is always included; riggers and lift supervisors are added when needed.
- Mobilisation: bringing the crane to site and back. Distance and access affect it.
- Working hours: overtime, night work and weekend work are usually charged extra.
